Yehudi Mercado – Writer/ Director/ Comic Book Artist

Yehudi is an award-winning animator and writer who began his career in video games, named one of the “Top 30 Interactive Stars Under 30” by Texas Monthly Magazine. He’s animated music videos (Patty Griffin, Pat Green), commercials (MTV) and co-wrote & directed an award-winning PBS animated series(The Trevor Romain Show). Yehudi wrote a screenplay about his days as a pizza delivery driver called Buffalo Speedway, which won 2nd place in the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting competition and is now a graphic novel. His geek classic short, Monster Job Hunter, debuted at Fantastic Fest and won Best Comedy at Dragon*Con and will soon be a graphic novel. Yehudi was accepted into the NALIP Filmmakers Workshop for his screenplay Mock Trial. Coming this fall Archaia Publishing will launch Yehudi’s next graphic novel entitled Pantalones, TX about troublemaking kids in tiny Texas town. Upcoming graphic novels in development are Throne of Secrets and Rocket Salvage.
