THRONE OF SECRETS

The time is 400 B.C. The Persian Empire, led by King Ahasuerus, covers half the known world. The Jews of this time period survive on a tenuous bubble of peace, living as peasants and former slaves.
“Throne of Secrets” is the story of two worlds.   The first is King Ahasuerus’ opulent royal palace; the second is the ram-shackle slums where Esther, a Jewish peasant girl, lives. The worlds become inextricably intertwined when Esther is chosen to be Persia’s next Queen. Mordechai, Esther’s uncle who raised her as a daughter, must lead a resistance force when a jihad is waged against the Jews of Persia by Haman, the king’s counselor. “Throne of Secrets” takes the traditional biblical tale and amps up the adventure of this historic epic.
