There’s nothing wrong with laughing at the sight of grown men wearing tights, but if you prefer reading comics that are in on the joke, this may just be the panel for you. From the earliest cave paintings, where men can be seen handing large exploding cigars to mammoths (or maybe those were throwing spears…it’s kinda hard to tell) all the way to recent successes like the Scott Pilgrim series, there’s a long tradition of writing comics for laughs. Join Geoffrey Golden (Devastator), Asterios Kokkinos (Devastator), Yehudi Mercado (Pantalones, TX), Lonnie Millsap (My Washcloth Stinks!, I Hate My Job!), Jody Houser (Cupcake POW!) and Tim Beedle (Muppet Robin Hood), as they break down the business of making people giggle and discuss some of the options available for emerging creators who write and draw humor.
